This 'Seaside Pelican' intarsia consists of 82 pieces of wood cut from Oak, Walnut, Mahogany, Pine and Yellow Cedar. The individual pieces were then shaped, sanded, and glued together. Some of the wood pieces are of different thickness to portray dimension. Two coats of varnish applied and mounted on a 24"x24" birch backing board which will be framed and ready for hanging. The intarsia item itself is 18" in height.
