The Owls Nest

All of the owls pieces were cut from Pine on the scroll saw, then shaped, sanded, glued back together, and then painted with acrylic paint.  The backboard and bottom pieces comprising the nest are (varnished) Cedar.  The twigs and artificial moss were hot glued into place to create the realism of a nest.  This piece is 14" in height and weighs a couple of pounds.  This project can be hung on a wall or sit free-standing on a table or shelf.  I have to admit, this project was a 'HOOT' to make!
